The Prince Albert Speed skating Club will be holding registration for speed skating for all those interested October 6th, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the lobby of the Art Hauser Center. All-Star Cheerleading is a fast paced, dynamic sport that encompasses stunt, tumbling, tosses and dance & requires dedication and a strong work ethic from the male and female athletes that participate. It is as physically demanding as any other mainstream sport and is one of the fastest growing team-based athletic sports in Canada.

Host Families Needed
During the summer of 2011 Global Partners will have two groups of high school students coming to Prince Albert from Japan.
1) One group will be here for 4 weeks to participate in an Intensive English program. At the close of their program they will then go to communities around the province to study at Saskatchewan High Schools for the 2011-2012 school year. This will be a co-ed group of students. The dates for this program are from JULY 23 - AUGUST 20. These students will attend classes at St. Mary High School on the week days.
2)The second program will be here for 2 weeks.All the students in this group will be girls. They will be studying English and will also do a few tours in the area. In this program we invite older host siblings to join in the classes to assist with increasing the frequency of English conversation. The program dates are JULY 22 - AUGUST 3. There will be classes on the Sunday and Monday of the long weekend with this program. Their study centre will be at Rivier Academy.
For both programs Global Partners provides:
* Pre-arrival orientation
* Regular contact and support throughout the students stay
* An honorarium for hosting
Global Partners wants families that:
* have two or more related people living in the home at the time of hosting.
* are willing and able to include the student into their home as a family member.
* will provide three meals a day to the student placed with them.
* are able to drive the student to and from the study centre (or arrange for transportation), which will be in Prince Albert, each day.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)
The Rotary Club of Prince Albert invites applications from local students to attend an all expense paid camp which focuses on Leadership, developmental topics of interest to today's youth along with lots of recreational activity.
Approximately 50 students will be selected from Rotary District 5550 to attend each of two camps in the month of August: 1) Basic RYLA for ages 12-14 years; and 2) Advanced RYLA for ages 15-18 years.
The camp is held at the Anglican Church Camp, Clear Lake Manitoba (Riding Mountain National Park) and uses a "hands on"and "learn by doing" approach to leadership, learning and personal development. Camp RYLA is interactive and will provide a memorable opportunity to learn, grow as an individual, have fun and make new friends in the process.

He was ordained to the permanent diaconate in September 1999. He has composed and recorded numerous tapes and CD’s.

THE PA SPEED SKATING CLUB
Will be offering another "Learn to Skate" program at the Art Hauser Centre. This program teaches the basics of skating in a fun and safe environment. All ages and skill levels are welcome to join. Prince Albert Ukrainian Dance Festival
We are please to inform you of the 24th Annual Prince Albert Ukrainian Dance Festival commencing on April 8th and concluding on April 10, 2011. The Festival will take place at the E.A.Rawlinson Centre for the Arts. In order to run a festival of this magnitude we are in need of a large number of volunteers. This is a great opportunity for students to use our festival to fulfil student volunteer programs within the school.
We are currently looking for people to fill the following positions; Ushers, Canteen, Kitchen, Admissions, Door Prize Table, Back Stage Door, Practice Area, Medals/Timer. Morning , Afternoon and Evening Shifts are available.
We will need to know as soon as possible (by the end of February), if you are able to help us out with any of the shifts. As a volunteer of our festival, you would be entitled to a pass for any of the eleven sessions for our festival.

Search For The Stars
The audition for the fourth annual Search for the Stars will be held on Sunday, March 13 at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre. The audition is open to all young performers 5-18 years of age who sing, play musical instruments dance or do any type of performance art. There is also a special Song Writer Competition sponsored by Freedom 55 Financial. Search for the Stars is a wonderful learning experience for young performers and is also a contest with a very generous prize package. To audition, you must register by phone at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre Box Office. Registration begins February 1 at 9:00am and goes until Friday, March 11 at 12 noon. Movie Night
Starting Thursday, Jan. 13, we will be hosting a Movie Night at St. Joseph Church in the basement. This will mark the beginning of our youth ministry.
We are planning with starting with grade 1-5 by inviting them to watch movies; from there we will build our youth ministry into more of a church youth group.

will be a dynamic two day mission that will take
participants on a journey to embrace the full purpose of our
lives - to be a saint! This is a family retreat for all
